After reading this week’s chapter and watching the crash course videos, I’ve learned a new term – The Plurality Rule. This states that the candidate with the most votes wins. The amount of votes does not have to be a majority but more than the other candidates. This leads me to another term I learned, The Majority Rule. This states that a candidate has to get 50% plus 1 vote.
After reading Chapter 9 I believe that all citizens eligible to vote should vote. If you are 18 years of age and older, registering to vote should be mandatory. Some people may feel as if they do not vote it won’t make a change which is not true. Everyone’s Vote Matters.

Arianna, what would you say to a friend who says their vote doesn’t count? What evidence would you give them that it does (and that the ways that it doesn’t are outweighed by the ways in which it does?)
